My pottery creations on and off the wheel.

Little bit high maybe?

I like the way the glass slumped and didn’t melt, it has given me some new ideas.

The first cone is 016 and with the time of the firing and temperature reached it got to well over that, just wondering if the cone 015 is a little bit over done looking at the bend on the 014.

But I think it’s close and given a good starting point so happy :-).

The firing didn’t have a hold, but maybe being so well insulated had a similar effect by not letting the temperature drop too fast? Or was it choosing 800C to begin with was a bit high for cone 015? Or just that the kiln was empty?

Firing schedule was 1 for an hour, 2 for an hour, 3 for an hour and 20 min, then on full until top temperature, was a short firing.

There are two things that without, I wouldn't recognise my life. One is my cheeky beagle Baxter who answers to all sorts of endearments starting with "B" except his actual name :-) and my pottery. They both make me happy and hopeful.
