My pottery creations on and off the wheel.

A hungry fantail in clay.

I thought the perfect topper for my latest totem pole would be a sealed base (that could be used for sugar water or bird seed) and a hungry looking baby fantail.

Not true to nature i know since sugar water is what i would feed a tui not a fantail and its intended to feed adult birds not babies that need to be fed by their mothers, but i couldnt resist. I have always loved fantails and think that they might just be visiting me, so they always make me think of people who aren’t here anymore with a smile.

Then i thought to myself that a hungry baby would signal to the birds that it’s time to feed, yes a bit of a stretch of the imagination, but that’s what i thought 🙂

Feed me!

There are two things that without, I wouldn't recognise my life. One is my cheeky beagle Baxter who answers to all sorts of endearments starting with "B" except his actual name :-) and my pottery. They both make me happy and hopeful.
