My pottery creations on and off the wheel.

What would wheel turned feet look like?

DSC02059Have been meaning to do this for ages so im at the next stage of some pierced bowls, and not too sure about the feet.
I started with draping the soft clay over a couple of home made plaster moulds, and made 3 feet on the wheel. After cutting them from the wheel head i altered their shape to an oval and left the two that made it (like a pancake my first one never works) overnight to set up.The next day when i can handle without distorting, i attached the feet to the bases, coiled a foot on the round bowl and left overnight again to even up the moisture between the two parts.
And here we are..time to get the pot into an overall shape i like and start the peircing.

There are two things that without, I wouldn't recognise my life. One is my cheeky beagle Baxter who answers to all sorts of endearments starting with "B" except his actual name :-) and my pottery. They both make me happy and hopeful.
