Thinking spatially: Part One

I have asked myself many times how big is my kiln, or how big can i go with the clay so it still fits in the kiln so today i am using cardboard and “bits and bobs” to think spatially, at least that’s what i’m calling it 🙂
The goal is to see how big an item i can make for my garden!
I am starting with the kiln shelf as a guide, big green piece of card, scissors, masking tape and using my “eyeometer” to judge clay shrinkage, spaces to leave for the elements, airflow and viewing the cone through the peephole.
This is Part One.

There are two things that without, I wouldn't recognise my life. One is my cheeky beagle Baxter who answers to all sorts of endearments starting with "B" except his actual name :-) and my pottery. They both make me happy and hopeful.
