Wedging clay feels like breadmaking to me, where you start with an unappealing sloppy sticky mess and you never know when you’ve got it just right untill you suddenly feel it.
Its not exactly the same. I have never cut the dough in half looking for an unwanted air bubble then slammed the 2 pieces together just to be sure and accidentally broken my wedging board. And my bread dough has never resembled a hogs head after kneading it.
But, you know that feeling you get making bread where you wondering if the gluten/protein has been worked enough and then….all of a sudden you feel it go smooth and elastic and your done, that part is the same for me.
Now what do i make?
